Atkins Field Reservation Policy

Reservation Period:
The Atkins Summer Ball committee will begin accepting reservations for the fields on January 1.

Reservation Process – Practices:
a. Reservations must be made via email to [email protected]
b. Practice times are available Monday through Sunday beginning in March, in 1½ hour increments (See available practice times below).
c. Each team will not be allowed to schedule more than 2 practices on the fields per week.
d. Reservations are on a first come first serve basis, with the only restriction being that Atkins LL & PL teams take priority.
e. It is the right of the committee to limit practices on Diamond #1, if your age groups’ rules allow play on other diamonds.
f. Once the reservation is received, it will be placed on the website calendar.
g. The committee needs prompt notification if you will not be using your scheduled field reservation via the email provided above. The only exception is a cancellation due to weather. With the limited number of fields available we want to provide other teams opportunities to practice.

Reservation Process – Travel Team Games:
a. Reservations must be made via email to [email protected]
b. Fields are available for games to travel ball teams associated with Atkins at a cost of $10 per game. Teams not associated with Atkins can still make a request, but cost is TBD.
Payment: Checks made out to Atkins Summer Ball, and will be given to scheduler.
c. Games need to be scheduled in 2½ to 3 hour increments. This will provide ample time for field prep, and any time extensions due to extra innings or weather delays.
d. It is the right of the committee to limit the number of games on the fields, as we have numerous teams that need practice space, and encourage other diamonds or towns.
e. LL & PL Atkins Teams take first priority to game schedules and re-schedules due to weather cancelations.
f. Once the reservation is received, it will be placed on the website calendar.
g. The committee needs prompt notification if you will not be using your scheduled field reservation via the email provided above. The only exception is a cancellation due to weather. With the limited number of fields available we want to provide other teams opportunities to practice.
h. Concession stand use - circumstantial and to be discussed

Available Fields – Please note the specific diamond when making a reservation.
Diamond 1 – Largest diamond with batting cage next to school
This field is recommended for boys teams 11U+ and girls teams 12U+
Diamond 2 – Field behind diamond 1.
This field is recommended for any age, but highly recommended for coach pitch and younger travel teams.
Diamond 3 – Field on same block as Lutheran Church (Across the street from diamond 2)
This field is recommended for teams 10U and below
Diamond 4 – This is the field located at the Atkins city park.
This field is recommended for coach pitch teams.

6:30 until 8pm
8 until 9:30pm

Saturday & Sunday
8 until 9:30am
9:30 until 11am
11am until 12:30pm
12:30 until 2pm
2 until 3:30pm
3:30 until 5pm
5 until 6:30pm
6:30 until 8pm
8 until 9:30pm
